In February 2008, Microsoft and Sony Ericsson announced the combining of their technologies, to bring out a new smartphone, mainly as a competitor to Apple’s iPhone. The smartphone was launched by Sony Ericsson, under the name of Xperia X1. With this, the company, which was earlier working with Symbian mobile operating system (UIQ), unveiled its first Windows-equipped mobile phone. Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is as much attractive on the outside as it is equipped on the inside. The mobile phone has an arc-slider design, which has been equipped with a 3-inch VGA touchscreen. The 110.5 x 52.6 x 17 mm dimensions of the phone support 65K colors resolution. While there is a full QWERTY keyboard underneath, proprietary XPERIA panel menu gives you the freedom to arrange the screen as per your choice.
