The recently launched NDTV Imagine, NDTV’s new entertainment channel, has done the unthinkable. It has brought together the hosts of two of the most ferociously competitive celebrity talk shows, ‘Rendezvous With Simi Garewal’ and ‘Koffee With Karan’. Yes, we are talking about Simi Garewal and Karan Johar. The two famous celebrities are coming as judges on ‘Say Shava Shava’, a music-and-dance contest on NDTV Imagine.
The title of the show has been borrowed from the famous song ‘Say Shava Shava’ from Karan Johar’s movie ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. So, you can very well guess the mood of the show. Say Shava Shava will be on air on 21st January 2008 and is all set to woo the audience as well as the TRP ratings. The show is an 11-day music and dance extravaganza. So, you wouldn’t be required to watch it for months at end, to know about the results.
Say Shava Shava will see actors like Aman Verma, Juhi Parmar, Manish Goyal, Divyanka Tripathti, Sumeet Raghvan, Narayani Shastri and Apoorva Agnihotri singing their favorite numbers. By launching NDTV Imagine, the channel has tried to break the monotony of the typical saas-bahu sagas. Other shows that are being aired on Imagine include Ek Packet Ummeed (about inmates in a women's home), Radha Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayenge (about girls who want to do more in life than finding a husband), etc.
