Samsung Electronics, one of the leaders in digital technology, has come up with a new range of Ultra Slim and Flat TVs for the Indian market. The South-Korea based company announced the launch of its new products on 5th February 2008. The Ultra SlimFit range has been launched with three models, numbered 21A730, 29A730 and 21A530. The Flat TV lineup, on the other hand, has two models, numbered 21A330 and 29A330. With this, Samsung has highlighted its position as one of the largest SlimFit TV providers in the country.
The new models score higher than their previous counterparts on both looks as well as sound and picture performance. Two models of the Ultra SlimFit range (21A730 and 29A730) have been provided with piano glossy Black Cabinets and have been made 40% slimmer than the usual Flat TVs. Apart from being equipped with Samsung’s patented DNIe technology, they are also fitted with a 5 and a 3 Band Graphic Equalizer (21” models), Turbo Sound, Game Mode and DVD Input.
The built-in turbo sound circuitry enables 21A730 and 29A730 to have a terrific surround and bass sound, contributing to the overall sensory experience. The price range as well as sound output differs between the three models. 29A730 comes with a sound output of 350 Watts, while the 21A730 and 21A530 offer a sound output of 300 Watts and 250 Watt PMPO, respectively. As far as the price is concerned, 21A530 costs Rs. 8900, 21A730 costs Rs. 11000 and 29A73 costs Rs. 19500.
Coming to the Flat TVs launched by Samsung, this range also comes equipped with Digital Natural Image Engine, 5 and 3 Band (21”) Graphic Equalizer, 400 W PMPO Sound output, Turbo Sound and DVD Input. The price of the two models in this range differs too, with 21A330 costing Rs 9500 and 29A330 costing Rs 16000. As per Mr. R. Zutshi, Deputy MD - Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd, with the launch of this new range of TVs, Samsung aims to increase its market share in the Indian Flat TV market to 25 percent.
