Roboquad, the new android launched by WowWee Robotics, claims the distinction of being the first true robotic arthropod. It is basically an animated robot that has multi-directional movement capabilities and highly developed sensory consciousness. You can also alter the personality as well as the behavior of the arthropod, by varying his levels of responsiveness, movement and aggression. Roboquad is remote controlled and has around seventy two functions that have been pre-set.
Heightened Senses!The robot operates on four different modes and has sound sensors that can detect the noise in the surroundings. The moment it hears the sound, it scans the environment for its possible source (when stationery) and will face it if it’s within 3 feet range. Roboquad has deep IR scanner vision system, along with five scanning sequences and multiple scanning ranges. The robot can easily detect movement upto a visual range of 10 feet. If an object approaches its scanner too swiftly, it will react on the basis of the set aggression level.
Want Some Action?
After non movement of about 5 min, Roboquad enters into a sleep mode and after 24 hours, it automatically powers down. The robot comes with two built-in demos, namely dance and movement. It has rotary legs and articulated neck that helps in the performance of the two demos. Roboquad also has different styles of walking, namely crab walk, stomp walk, rotation walk, etc. If your child is one of those tech-savvy ones, who love to have the latest in-thing, he is definitely going to fall in love with this small little robo!
