As February comes to an end, the anticipation for the opening of the Geneva Motor Show 2008 starts building up. The show is scheduled to start from 6th March and will come to an end on 16th March. Renault, the France-based automobile company, is all set to launch its two cars, Laguna GT Hatch and Sport Tourer. Both the cars are being launched in two versions, fitted with two different engines making their world debut. One of the engines is a 2.0 dCi diesel one, with 180 hp and 295 pound feet of torque.
The other one is a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder one, which will run on gasoline. It offers 205 hp and 221 pound feet of torque. Laguna GT will also come equipped with Active Drive chassis i.e. a four-wheel steering system, which promises to make driving as well as parking much smoother for you. As far as the looks are concerned, you can expect the very best. Laguna has vertical air intake slits up front, new grille, black headlamps surrounds, gloss-black side view mirrors and smoked tail lights.
The side sills, which run the length of the car on either side, have been pronounced. The car has been fitted with 18-inch "Celsium" alloy wheels. Even the interiors of Renault Laguna GT Hatch do not fail to impress you. It boasts of bolstered sports seats, aluminum shifter, drilled foot pedals and a different steering wheel. You can also find GT logos imprinted on the seats. Renault officials have not divulged the price range in which the car will be able. However, with the Geneva Motor Show just around the car, the wait for this piece of information will not be too long. Till then, keep guessing.
