Rab Ne Bana Di JodiRab Ne 'To' Bana Di Jodi, but Aditya Jodi failed to make a convincing film with the pair of Shahrukh and Anushka Sharma. Now, don't get it wrong. 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' is not a bad movie, on which you feel like having wasted your 150 bucks. Yet, it is not an exactly 'paisa vasool' movie. One of the greatest challenges before Aditya Chopra, while making the movie, was to sell the concept of 'love after marriage' to the audience. However, this basic concept failed to come out properly. In fact, the main flaw of the film is that it failed to communicate with the audience effectively.

The storyline of 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' is very good. It tries to explore the basic questions - what is true love, how can we identify it, what if we fail to see it. Though the basic premise was good, somewhere along the line, the movie failed to establish it properly. Another problem with 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' is its length - 2 hours and 45 minutes, to be precise. Some more editing would have added to the film's appeal. The USP of the movie is Shahrukh Khan, completely convincing and totally impressive. As for Anushka, though she falters in the first few minutes, we could not help, but be impressed by her.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi Pre-release Review
After a gap of eight years, Aditya Chopra has donned the cap of a director once again. His latest film, again with Shahrukh Khan and again a 'romantic drama', is all set to hit the theaters. Named 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', the movie has been produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra. It will be released on 12th December 2008, under the banner of 'Yash Raj Films'. Providing words to the music of Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant is the lyricist of 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' - Jaideep Sahni.

The star cast of the movie, which will serve as the launching pad of model Anushka Sharma, boasts of names like Shah Rukh Khan, Vinay Pathak, Anupam Kher and Farida Jalal. 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' will also see special appearances by Rani Mukherjee, Kajol, Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra. The premise of the movie is simple - the extraordinary love story of an ordinary man. It tells us that love does not differentiate between the ordinary and extraordinary, the unexciting and exciting, the unattractive and attractive.

'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' intends to convey that love can happen to anyone, anytime and anywhere. As you encounter love, it becomes the 'be all and end all' of your existence and makes miracles happen. Something like this happened in the life of Surinder Sahni (Shahrukh Khan), the main protagonist of 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', as well. He was a simple man, who had a clean heart and believed in living his life honesty. He was working for Punjab Power, leading a life that was too predictable and obviously mundane and unexciting.

One day, Surinder met Taani (Anushka Sharma); a girl so opposite to him as day is to night. She was flamboyant, high-spirited, playful, bubbly and exuberant about life. She considered the world as her canvas and wanted to paint her life with the most vivid colors. As expected, Surinder fell in love with Taani and fate conspired to bring the two together as well. What followed in Surinder's life was a journey filled with tears and laughter, joy and pain, music and dance and…a lot of love. 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' will make you believe that there is an extraordinary love story behind every ordinary 'jodi'.
