After overhauling the way Indians watched movies by introducing the multiplex concept in India exactly a decade ago, the PVR Cinemas is once again all set to raise the standards a few notches higher by introducing Gold Class lounge cinemas in Delhi soon. The plan to do so has come after the Gold Class lounge cinema formula proved to be a hit in Bangalore, where it was initially launched by the company some time back.
The Gold Class Cinemas to be opened in the capital will target the crème de la crème, affluent populace and will comprise of two ultra-luxe movie halls. Each will embody 32 comfy fully reclining seats with ample leg space for its occupant. Along with the cinema, the movie goers here can also savor mouth-watering food and beverages. It is learnt that PVR’s Gold Class lounge cinemas will be housed at the Select Citywalk Mall in Saket and would be inaugurated on 23 November. Tickets will cost Rs 700-800 per head.
PVR began its operation in India in 1997, which led to the launch of India’s first multiplex PVR Anupam at Saket in the capital. With the introduction of trendy seating, state of the art screens and audio visual systems, the PVR Cinemas has completely revolutionized the film watching experience in its decade long existence in India. This has provided the company a noteworthy presence in New Delhi, NCR and Bangalore, making it the biggest cinema exhibition chain in the country.
