How To Do Prom Makeup

You Will Need
  • Foundation
  • Powder
  • Lipstick
  • Eyeliner
  • Eyelash Curler
  • Body Glitter Powder
Instructions
  • You can start getting the prom look ready by first using a light foundation. The purpose of using the foundation is to even out your skin tone and make it look that much more uniform. Foundation can also help you hide any blemishes to give you the impression of flawless skin.  This is exactly why most women can just not do without foundation. When applying the foundation, take care to not go overboard. If you see the need to do so, you can use a makeup sponge to uniformly work the foundation into your skin. Make it a point not to leave lines or disturbances of foundation between your neck, chest and jaw. This will only make your makeup look like it has gone bad!
  • Now that you are done with the foundation, you can move on to the application of the face powder. You can begin by applying a little face powder onto your face and then highlight your best features with a hint of color. You can highlight your cheekbones with small hints of shimmering clean blush. You can then go on to contour your temples, cheeks, chin and forehead, with a subtle dusting of bronzer.
  • Here, you will have to line your upper lids. To achieve this objective you can apply a liquid eye liner with stroke like movements. The key to success here lies in how adept you are at applying the eye liner. Just a delicate stroke or two is what you need. Finish off this step by dusting a little glitter powder over a larger part of your eyelid and then smudging on eyeliner around the outer edges of your eye. This will ensure your eyes look as good as they possibly can.
  • This step will see you curling your eyelashes. For that extra touch of glamour, you can also place a few false eyelashes at the outside edge of your eyelashes. For drop dead looks, you can feel free to coat your eyelashes with lengthening mascara; a coat or two of the same should do just fine.
  • It is now time to begin work on your lips. For best results, you can brush your lips with cranberry, cocoa colored or even warm colored gloss. Follow this move up by applying super shiny gloss on your lips and lining your lips with the assistance of a pencil. If you just happen to have extremely thin lips, you can create a mirage by using creamy lipstick.
  • For the makeup of your body, you can simply achieve all prom objectives by applying glitter powder or gel onto your arms, upper chest and shoulder. Don’t forget to wash your hands thoroughly before you start getting dressed!
