Pores

Picture this: You are preparing yourself for the most prestigious event of your life. You have bought everything that would contribute in making you look perfect. High heels, that elegant evening gown, the perfect tote and jewelry! A night before that D-Day, you notice a red blemish on your skin right next to your nose. Panic strikes and you sulk endlessly about the zit and wish that there was something you could do to control the oil formation in your pores.

Sounds familiar? The good news is that your skin pores can get the right treatment and care, only if you are willing to devote some time. The formation of skin pores is quite natural and can be easily taken care of with some simple techniques. Though it is a fact that the pores turn larger as we age, specifically around the nose, there are ways how you can make your skin look smooth and minimize the appearance of the pores. Be it any skin type, oily, dry or combination, pores are quite noticeable in almost all of them. There are many factors that contribute to the formation of skin pores like hereditary factors, hormone imbalances, pollution, exposure to dust, etc.

Skin Pore Care - Avoid Harsh Cleansers
You need to stop using harsh cleansers and astringents to clean your skin. The astringent provides temporary tightening of the pores. Thereafter the pores open up again and usually become overactive and produce more oil to compensate the loss of oil due to the use of astringent. This leads to increase in the size of pores, thus making them all the more visible on the surface of the skin. When the pores become larger, more dirt settles on the surface, thus clogging it. Before you know it, a zit comes out and plunges you into the lowest level of depression!

Less Moisturizer
You need to understand that your skin is already producing oil, near your nose and forehead. So you need not slather moisturizer or cream there. Use a water based moisturizer for your cheeks and throat. This way, your skin will get the moisture it needs on the important parts and avoid the excess of it, on certain areas.

Face Packs
Use face packs at least once a month in order to minimize your pores. First cleanse your face and remove the blackheads after scrubbing and a good massage. Then use a natural face pack like the one of Indian clay. You could also go in for cucumber, papaya, etc. face packs to cool your skin down in summers. Face packs exfoliate your skin and give it a glow by removing the dull dead skin from the face. Just keep these tips in mind and you are on the way to having a lovely skin!
