Pomegranate Martini

Health conscious people have always stayed away from alcohol, party due to its harmful effects and partly because of its high calorie content. Even cocktails have failed to lure such people and you mostly find them sitting with a glass of diet coke in their hand, away from the drinkers. Now, even health watchers can enjoy cocktail, without having to think about the calories and other issues. Make way for ‘Pomegranate Martini’.It is not only low in calories, but will also accord health benefits to the drinkers, like lowering of cholesterol and blood pressure. The cocktail is totally healthy and just slightly alcoholic. So, get ready to groove.
 
Pomegranate Martini Recipe
With this recipe, know how to make Pomegranate Martini.
 
Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp Natural Cane Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 2-3 ounces Vodka
  • 4-6 ounces Freshly Squeezed Pomegranate Juice
  • Half Lime
  • 2 slices Lemon
  • Ice
 
Also Required
  • Martini Shaker
  • Glass
 
Method
  • Pre-warm a pan over high heat and add sugar and water. Keep on stirring till the sugar dissolves and forms sticky syrup. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • Take a small plate and coat it with a thin layer of sugar.
  • Run one of the lemon slices over the rim of the glass, making sure to wet it slightly.
  • Turn over the glass and slowly rotate it over the sugar (in the plate). Your cocktail glass is ready.
  • Fill the martini shaker with ice and add pomegranate juice and vodka to it (2 parts juice to one part vodka).
  • Squeeze juice from the lime and add it to the shaker.
  • Finally, add the sugar syrup.
  • Now, start shaking the martini shaker and continue doing so for 30 seconds.
  • Pour the martini into the glass prepared beforehand.
  • Finally, make a slight cut into the last lemon slice, twist into a spiral and hang from the side of the glass.
