'Paying Guests' also suffers from the same fault that so many other Bollywood films seem to have these days - pathetic script. Apart from being illogical in the very extreme, it offers nothing in terms of 'newness'. Right from the tired gay jokes to the double-meaning dialogues to the guys wearing tennis balls as breasts, there is nothing in the movie that has not been seen before. And, believe us; none of the oft-repeated gags manage to bring out any humor in the film. A few minutes into the movie and you start waiting for it to end.
Coming down to performances, there is practically nothing to write home about, at least nothing good. The leading ladies - Celina Jaitley, Neha Dhupia, Riya Sen and Sayali Bhagat - are there for just looking good. In fact, they do nothing much except flaunting their curves. Even the male leads were no better, with Shreyas Talpade making the only exception. Apart from that, Johnny Lever manages to bring a few laughs. All in all, this is one movie that you will be happy to have missed at the theater.

'Paying Guests' is produced by Raju Farooqui and will be released under the banner of 'Mukta Arts', on 29th May 2009. The directorial venture of Paritosh Painter, it has Sajid-Wajid as the music directors and Jalees Sherwani, Wajid, Rashid Firozabadi and A. K. Upadhyay as a part of the lyricist team. The story of 'Paying Guests' revolves around the life of four young fun loving boys, played by Shreyas Talpade, Javed Jaffrey, Aashish Chaudhary and Vatsal Seth, who want to rent a house together.
In the crazy house hunt that follows, the foursome finds itself going through a series of side-splitting events. All, for one roof in which they can live together and tackle their problems. Soon, they manage to find a crazier landlord Ballu (Johnny Lever) willing to have them as 'paying guests'. However, Ballu has a condition; he will give accommodation to 'couples' only. Though they agree to this condition, from where will they get wives (all of them being bachelors)? As the story moves ahead, lots of comic situations follow.
