Easy Paper Mache Crafts For Children
 
Paper Mache Masks
 
Materials Required
  • Water
  • Glue
  • Old Newspapers
  • Cardboard
  • Stationary Items (pencil, markers, sketch pens)
  • Water colors
  • String
  • Scissor 
Instructions
  • To make a paper mache mask, first mix 1/4th part water with 3/4th part glue and later add newspaper strips to the glue mix.
  • Take a cardboard and make an outline of the mask you want to create.
  • Cut the cardboard through the outline and make an opening for eyes.
  • Cover the mask with the paper mash, barring the eye hole. Let it dry.
  • Apply the second layer (let it dry for a day to make it east to paint).
  • Once the whole mask is dried, paint it and add strings to the mask, so that you can wear it as well.
  • You can even give facial expression to the mask, to make it look even more real.

Instructions
  • To make a paper mache mask, first mix 1/4th part water with 3/4th part glue and later add newspaper strips to the glue mix.
  • Take a can and paper mache it, with two layers of newspaper and one layer of white paper.
  • Apply the second layer only after the first one had dried.
  • After applying the last layer, let it dry completely for a day.
  • Create the template for wings of thick paper and cover it with glue. Now, cover it with cotton or white feathers.
  • Once dried, glue the wings on to the back of the can.
  • Take wool and wrap it around your hand or a 3½ inch diskette loosely, about 10 times.
  • Remove the bundle and tie it at the "top" with a piece of wool.
  • Snip the bottom ends, so it is long, just like hair and glue it on each side of the head.
  • Make a third bundle, this time wrapping about 20 times around 2 fingers. Fluff it out and glue it along the top of the can, as bangs.
  • Using marker or paint, draw a face on your angel.
