Panasonic has released its new digital camera model TZ4 in India. It comes equipped with 8.1-megapixel lens, which also offers optically stabilized f/3.3-4.9, 28-280mm (35mm equivalent) 10x Leica DC Vario-Elmar zoom. Aspherical shape and ED (extra low dispersion) elements are some of the other features of the lens of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ4. Then, there is the 230,000-dot, 2.5-inch LCD screen, which adjust the brightness levels automatically, with the change in the ambient light.
The camera has been embedded with Panasonic's High Angle mode, which makes sure that the screen is viewable even when you hold it above the head. Venus Engine IV, Panasonic's fourth-generation high-performance image processing LSI, also forms a part of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ4. Venus Engine IV 
provides an improved image quality as well as operational speed, over all the cameras of the past. The 24 automatic shooting modes of the camera include aerial photography mode and even an underwater selection.

Another powerful feature of Panasonic TZ4 is Advanced Intelligent Auto mode, a combination of Panasonic’s Intelligent Exposure function, redeye correction, face detection, Intelligent ISO, Intelligent Scene Selector, and Quick AF continuous autofocus. The light-sensitivity setting of the digital camera is ISO 6400, while its shutter speed range is 1/2000 to 8 seconds. It also has a Starry Sky mode, which extends the range up to 60 seconds. In continuous-shooting mode, it can shoot 3fps at full resolution and 7fps, with the resolution reduced to 2 MP.
Panasonic TZ4 can shoot video in 848x480 widescreen resolution. It also has a Title Edit function, using which you can tag photos with text. When you put it in review mode, the camera can play slideshows with music. Other features of the digital camera are spot metering, auto exposure bracketing, a live histogram, white balance fine tuning, voice annotation, slow-sync flash, and a wide selection of autofocus modes, including spot AF. Panasonic Lumix TZ4 comes is available in silver and black finishes, with the launch price of $299.95.
