Touted as the baby of Nokia’s ‘Next Generation’ N-Series, the Nokia N70, is a solid mobile phone, apt for your sophisticated urban image. No cheap thrills here, the Nokia N70 impresses in style, design features as well as performance. The sleek candy-bar design and a mere weight of 126 grams for a 3G enabled phone is definitely a winner. The screen is large enough to allow easy viewing while browsing the internet or any other application as such. The 2 mega-pixel camera impresses and is great for taking loads of pictures. Check out this brief review of the Nokia N 70 to know more about its features.
Design and Features
Available in white and silvery-pearl colors, the Nokia N70 is sleekly designed without compromising on the sturdiness. The music edition of n70 is available in a black color, though. The front is dominated by a delightfully wide clear screen with a 176x208 pixel display. Right under the screen is the keypad and the navigation key. The rear of the phone is what grabs attention. There is a sliding cover which when slid down, reveals the 2 mega-pixel camera lens and the flash. As soon as you slide down the cover, the camera gets activated automatically. The slide cover is silver in color which stands in a rich contrast to the black back. The Nokia N70 is essentially a GSM enabled phone, though the 3G is impressive too. The phone has integrated Bluetooth, Pictbridge, Visual Radio, expandable memory, along with other impressive features. The 22 MB internal memory is used up rather quickly what with its music player options and photograph offerings. Thanks to the expandable memory, you can always expand it by inserting a 1GB card.
Performance
The phone gives an impressive performance as a simple mobile, a music player, a camera and to surf the internet. The sound quality is fabulous and you will definitely not have to strain your ears to hear the person at the other end speak even in a congested traffic jam. The display on the screen is good enough in both light and dark conditions, allowing you to browse easily without straining your eyes. The internet surfing on 3G is impressive and fast, without any glitches as such.
The camera is definitely impressive for a mobile phone. It takes amazingly clear pictures and has a variety of editing features like clip-art, sepia & black and white modes, etc. You can download and watch your favorite videos and listen to music on the Realplayer that is in-built in the phone. The battery life of N70 is good to as it provides a maximum talk time of about 3.5 to 4 hours and around 265 hours of stand-by time. All in all, the Nokia N70 is great phone and I don’t see a reason why you should think twice before buying it!
