The Nokia 6110 Navigator is a stylishly designed mobile phone that has been launched in India. The slider phone is priced at approximately
Rs. 17,500. Available in black and white colors, the phone has an advanced GPS navigation system and a 2 mega-pixel camera. The keypad is quite tight and takes a while to get used to as you have to doubly check whether you have pressed a button or not. Since you need to slide up the phone by touching the screen, it gets smudged easily.
Features
The front of the phone has an array of buttons that include one for picking a call, hanging up, two context sensitive buttons and a five-way controller. Placed right below are the buttons for accessing the main menu and the GPS navigator. There are buttons on the side to control volume, take photos and read inbox messages.
The button that controls the covers hiding the mini-USB connector and the 512MB micro-SD card is also located in the side. The 2.2 inch provides a bright and crisp resolution. There is a camera in the front as well and the 2 mega pixel camera at the back takes pretty good pictures. This phone comes with handsfree stereo headphones, which makes listening to music a pleasurable experience.
Performance
The Nokia 6110 Navigator is equipped with 3G and HSDPA, but no Wi-Fi. You may browse the web at speeds of 3.6Mbps. The sound clarity is excellent and you don’t have to try too hard to talk to someone even in heavy traffic. The loudspeaker is quite decent and does not have a blaring voice quality. Even with Bluetooth, the sound quality is quite clear and crisp. The battery life could have been better and decreases rapidly whenever GPS or Bluetooth is used in excess.
It is recommended that you keep your charger with yourself when you travel long distances. It is a tad tough to follow the GPS instructions when you are driving in traffic since the screen is too small. Though GPS may come in handy for regular travelers, taxi drivers, etc. the good sound clarity and other useful features make this phone a must have if you like advanced technology at a reasonable price.
