Design
Nokia 1209 comes in a candy bar design, with blue color. It is a simple and easy-to-use phone, with minimal fuss and no unnecessary buttons. With the dimensions of 102 x 44.1 x 17.5 mm, the mobile phone is not conspicuous to carry around, while the weight of hardly 80 gm ensures that it is not at all bulky. The CSTN, 65K colors display of its screen supports a resolution of 96 x 98 pixels. Though devoid of the usual features of today’s mobile phones, like camera, fm radio, internet connectivity and music players, Nokia 1209 boasts of some amazingly new features! One of them is a pre-paid tracker, which keeps track of the balance of those who have a pre-paid simcard. Then, there is the feature of multiple phone books, which allows up to five users to use the same cell phone, with up to 200 entries per phone book. If that wasn’t enough, the phone interface offers support of up to 80 languages too.
Nokia 1209 is also said to be fitted with noise cancellation filters that decrease the background noise and provide improved sound quality. Though the cell phone has been equipped with polyphonic ringtones, it does not support the ones in MP3 format. The call records of up to 20 dialed, 20 received and 20 missed calls are available. Other features of Nokia 1209 include Standard Li-Ion battery, with talktime of up to 7 hours and standby time of up to 365 h hours, along with SMS and games options.
