Nissan Micra

Finally we have one Nissan model that will stand head to head with the likes of the Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat, Maruti Suzuki Ritz and Volkswagen Polo. Nissan Micra is the latest Japanese hatchback car that is set to enter the Indian small car segment. An excellent combination of new gen cutting-edge technology, exceptional design and advanced features, Nissan Micra attempts to meet the tastes and needs of the Indian customers. The automobile has some of the rare features that are uncommon for a B-segment car and hatchbacks. Available in four different variants, each one differs in interior comfort, luxury and safety features. With a more rounded, robust and smooth look rather than ‘edgy’ styling, this vehicle is sure to be one of the top takes of the market.

Design & Comfort
Termed cute and smart with oval-shaped headlamps and small clear lens tail lamps, the New Nissan Micra is totally different from its previous generation models. Slightly longer and marginally lower, the roomier interiors take the cake away for this particular car. The high-mounted light pods and the two-part grille with horizontal chrome strips will attract you towards this little beauty that have been included to give the car a more up-market look. While the bonnet is short with a bulge in center, the rear has been balanced off with a simple design. Reversing sensors and a new ‘parking space measurement’ (PSM) device with three skill levels (amateur, normal and expert) are the new unique features offered in the B-segment. Look out for the alloy wheels, body colored bumpers, body colored door handles, body colored outside rear view mirrors, rear washer, rear wiper, rear defogger and rear spoiler.
The Nissan Micra perfectly combines quality and price. By offering new features like intelligent key entry system and push button start-stop button, Nissan Micra has managed to take a step further than Ford Figo. The interiors have been balanced with the suit of curvy exteriors. Keeping away from the sharp lines and ‘edgy’ designing, this car is definitely a pleasant change from the previously launched small cars including Ford Figo, Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo. The dashboard, button controls, mounted components like speedometer, central console and the steering wheel designs have all taken the round or oval shape. Surprisingly, the headroom and legroom at the back are generous. With a touch-screen combined audio and satellite navigation system, glass roof and speed sensitive volume on the radio, this stylish and charming car will take on the Indian roads like a duck to water.
The HR12 1.2-litre Nissan Micra XE is equipped with 3-cylinder petrol engine with a valve-timing control (VTC). The vehicle is capable of generating a maximum power of 75 Bhp with a maximum torque of 104 Nm. The engine of the vehicle has been matched well with the manual gearbox to make it peppy and travelable. The car has superb visibility and a class-topping turning radius of 4.5 m, apart from the several new technologies that help in reducing CO2 emissions and mileage. For those who are looking for better ride and handling characteristics, the company offers Micra XV that is designed to be compact and capable of cruising through the rough surfaces at highway speeds.
All variants of Nissan Micra have been equipped with dual front bags. The three versions of Micra, that is XE, XE Plus and XL, do not have central locking, ABS and fog lamps.
