Nikon D3 is eyeing to be the top model in the DSLR range of cameras. It is world’s first D-SLR to offer dual CompactFlash card slots, for outstanding storage flexibility. Design
Nikon D3 has been designed and styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro's Italdesign. Its body measures 159.5 (W) ×157 (H) ×87 (D) mm and weighs 1,390 grams, including battery. Apart from having a vertical grip, the camera also flaunts of a horizontal grip. A pro-level weather sealed body, Nikon D3 has a 3-inch VGA LCD screen which allows for a 170-degree viewing angle. There are buttons and dials on the body of the digital camera, which helps the users to figure out all the major controls. Nikon D 3 also provides the users many options to customize the controls, according to the requirements.
Features
An exceptional feature of Nikon D3 is that it is low noisemaker, even at high ISOs. The ISO of the digital camera ranges from 200 to 6400, expandable up to the equivalent of 25,600 or down to 100. The latest feature added to the camera is the new EXPEED image processing, which allows it to capture and process massive amounts of data, at high definition. 51-Point autofocus system is a completely new aspect in the camera features, designed to acquire and track subjects’ movement more accurately.
Nikon D3's FX format CMOS imaging sensor makes the quality of the pictures explicit. The feature allows outstanding results in dim light conditions as well. In continuous shooting mode, the digital camera is able to capture 37 frames in 3.3 seconds, for an average of 8.6 frames per second at full resolution. The sensor captures image data at 14 bits per color channel, higher than the bit-depth of previous 12-bit sensors.
