Expanding its shores, Nikon goes on to unveil its new Coolpix P6000, claiming it to be the perfect tool for photographers. With Coolpix P6000, Nikon went a step further in the digital world, bringing out a camera that can record the ‘geotag’, apart from clicking photographs.The digital camera features 13.5 megapixels, with an inbuilt global positioning System (GPS), my Picturetown connectivity and Nikon’s exclusive EXPEED image processing. The camera is intelligently built and encourages perfect handling. With its 2.7 inch high resolution TFT screen, all you need is a picture perfect moment and the click of the button.
Design
Nikon Coolpix P6000 is designed with the award winning P5000 series as it base, though further refinements have been done to make the new camera better than the former. The digital camera has been so designed that it gives a perfect size, shape and texture for handling. The buttons are also placed with the aim of providing convenience to the user, but in such a manner that they enhance its looks also. Nikon Coolpix P6000 has a size of approximately 107 x 65.5 x 42 mm and weighs approx. 240 g (8.5oz.), without battery and SD memory card.
Features
While Nikon Coolpix P6000 boasts of a 13.5 megapixel camera, it also has high performance Vibration Reduction (VR), which allows you to take sharp pictures with minimal blur. The digital camera allows for sensitivity range upto ISO 6400 and has been built to give out minimal noise during usage. The camera’s image quality is further reinforced by its ability to shoot images in RAW format. Picture Control capabilities, taken from D-SLR products, only add to the total experience of clicking photos with Nikon Coolpix P6000.
A 4x Zoom-NIKKOR lens, with ED lens elements, covers focal lengths from a wide 28 mm, delivering clarity and precision throughout its range. With the new integration GPS function, Nikon Coolpix P6000 also allows you to record ‘geotags’ of the place you are shooting at; based on its latitude and longitude. The improved face recognition technology recognizes up to 12 faces for both, portrait photography and group photography. The red eye fix, on the other hand, takes care that you do not have blood eye in any photograph.
