For all the television buffs out there, its time to celebrate, as it’s gala time in the NDTV Group’s camp. The television major has launched its new venture in the entertainment domain known as NDTV Imagine. Taking a leap, the company will be launching three individual channels under the flagship of NDTV Imagine, in the next one year. This is heart warming news for all the viewers, as they will now be served with hot entertaining programs by the established news giant, which has kept them updated with the pulse of the nation, so far.
Channels under NDTV Imagine
Taking the Indian entertainment industry to new heights, NDTV Imagine intends to launch three channels as a part of their new venture. The first channel will be a Hindi General Entertainment Channel bearing the same name as NDTV Imagine. The channel with the tag line ‘Entertain and Delight’ is scheduled to be launched in January 2008. It will cater to the emerging needs of the viewers with an array of programs, varying from family soaps to period dramas, from music shows to glitzy events of the industry. Apart from this, the second channel is supposed to be a movie channel while nothing has been revealed about the third.
The Dream Team
NDTV Imagine will be spearheaded by Sameer Nair, who was the former CEO of Star Entertainment India. Apart from this, the new initiative is supported by the giants of entertainment industry. Topping the list is Karan Johar, who is one of the young leading directors of Indian Film Industry. He is the creative consultant and the band ambassador of NDTV Imagine. Moreover, they are even in the process of tying up with Dharma Productions and Balaji Telefilms for producing quality programs for the channel.

NDTV Imagine is all set to hit the screens with a bang, as the channel will telecast a host of fiction as well as non fiction programs, to pamper the viewers. The mixed bag is filled with programs like Dharam Veer, Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi ki Joint Family, Raajkumar Aaryyan, Ek Packet Umeed, Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi and Main Teri Parchhain Hoon. To add more to the freshness and creativity, the channel will also feature programs like Dhoom Macha De, Say Shaava Shaava and the delightful dance based Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan. Some of these competitive programs will also see Sharmila Tagore and Karan Johar as judges.
