All the film aficionados out there have some powerful performances to look forward to. Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan, the two powerhouses of acting, are on the verge of being roped in for an upcoming movie. To be made by Major Ravi, a military official turned filmmaker (in Kerala); the film is believed to be based on the hijacking incident of Air India’s IC-814 flight. As per sources, the movie, to be named as Kandahar, aims at showing the behind-the-plot scenes of the hijacking incident.
With the combination of two brilliant actors, with an excellent script, the film is all set to put the silver screen on fire. The film will be released in two languages right now, Malayalam and Tamil. Though Major Ravi refused to divulge much about the exact plot of the movie, he did mention that the basic aim of Kandahar is to explore the truth behind the hijacking conspiracy. At the same time, he also confirmed his desire of bringing together the two talented actors.
The casting coup by Major Ravi comes soon after the public statement by Kamal Haasan, in a function in Thiruvananthapuram, in which he expressed a desire to work with Mohanlal. Since both Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan are good friends of Ravi, the possibility of seeing them together seems to be quite bright. Apart from the casting, Major Ravi also expressed his intentions of remaking the film in Hindi, in the near future. Let’s see whether Ravi manages to attain what he has set to do or not.
