Mitsubishi's Laser TV

The consumer electronic giant Mitsubishi is all set to take its customers for a joy ride, as it announced its hi-fi laser TV. Though the users are still trying to figure out the difference between the LCD and Plasma technologies, Mitsubishi has given them yet another brain tickler, in the form of its laser TV. As the name suggests, the TV uses laser technology and produces the best quality pictures available for viewing on screen. This can be attributed to the fact that laser technology is the most advanced in case of television.

Another striking feature of the new style icon is its size. The swish television set is more or less a small projector screen, as it measures 65 inches. With this, the company has prepared to woo the consumers well, as it has tried to present the best of technology in an amiable, light weight and sleek product, with HD quality. This makes the laser TV a complete package, leaving no scope for the consumers to miss out on anything. The GeNext product is being seen as a breakthrough in the existing DLP (digital light processing) technique

Mitsubishi claims that the Laser TV can produce 80 percent of the colors viewed by the human eye, which other HDTV’s do not. Apart from richer colors and complex hues, the television is also a strong contender in terms of clarity and depth perception.  Though the company has left no stone unturned to prove that the laser TV is a real treat for the eyes, the question that how fair will it treat the consumer pockets, still remains unanswered. Till now, the policy is that of ‘wait and watch’.
