Mercedes-Benz, the luxury automobile brand that needs no introduction, has finally uncovered its Vision GLK BlueTEC Hybrid at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show that started on 6th March. What make the Hybrid stand apart from others are its angular novel design, of the famous G-class, and the classic features of prevailing M-B passenger cars. To start with, its BLUETEC 2.2 liter 4-cylinder diesel engine is accompanied by an electric motor turning out 224 hp (165 kW) and 160 Nm of torque.
The Vision takes just 7.3 seconds to flight from 0 to 100 km/h; its highest speed is at 215 km/h. In spite
of such power, the GLK merely consumes an average of 5.9 litre of diesel per 100 km, and emits about 157 g/km of CO2. It’s no joke, because the SUV has already met the world’s toughest exhaust emissions standards - the American BIN5 and the European EU6. Its automatic transmission has an integrated start-stop function at traffic lights. It also stores electricity, while using brakes in a lithium-ion battery pack and backs the internal combustion engine, during the fuel-intensive acceleration phase.

Certainly, Mercedes-Benz has spared no efforts in furnishing staggering features to theVision GLKBlueTEC Hybrid. It is powered enough to send you over the edge.
