In a recent agreement, well-known fashion designer Manish Malhotra has joined hands with Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd. to showcase their shades and hues in his collection. This collection will be called as ‘Color Styles of 07-08' that will be based on the theme of how colors and different moods are co-related. This collection will also explain the logic of color transition and present a synopsis of changing color trends in India.
This venture was initiated since now a customer scrutinizes various colors and shades and chooses the paint very carefully for his home. With more experimentation and open mindedness, people have grown out of pastel shades and are open to stronger colors and different hues. The step taken by Nerolac Paints is much appreciable since they are now exploring the emotional aspects of their consumers. With this venture, even the not-so-elite will be able to explore different hues, tones and shades and be able to connect to more and more consumers.
This step will definitely change the way the whole world thinks about Indians. The shades will be very contemporary and depict five major moods. The shades that will be seen are red, brown, baby pink, aqua blue & green and tangerine. These colors depict energy, identity, balance, well-being and solace respectively, which are the five dominant moods in our country. Another shade “soft blue” that portrays optimism, simplicity and well-being was unveiled as the “Color of the Year”.
