Mahindra Logan Edge

There are so many automobiles, in the same segment and price range, in the Indian market today that it has become difficult for a person to decide which one to take back home. Now, Mahindra Renault, a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra and French carmaker Renault, has launched a special edition of its sedan Logan. The special edition is expected to be launched at a price of somewhere between Rs. 5 lakh and Rs. 7.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Along with launching the new Logan, Mahindra Renault also has plans to export its ‘no-frills’ car and even launch the CNG version of Logan soon.
 
Mahindra Logan EdgeThe new variant of Mahindra Logan will be known as “Logan Edge”. It will be available in petrol and diesel versions, with engine capacities in the range of 1.4 to 1.6 liters. Logan Edge will be equipped with a number of useful features, such as reverse parking censor, anti-lock braking and luxurious interiors, apart from some additional safety features. As per Nalin Mehta - Mahindra Renault Chief Operating Officer, the special edition of Logan has been based on the feedback received by customers.
 
Through the combination of suave looks and innovative features, the company aims to provide the best to the consumers. The special edition of Mahindra Logan promises better fuel efficiency to the consumers. Mahindra Renault is expected to launch the CNG version of Logan within the next 2-3 months. The CNG version is expected to be launched in the in the Rs. 5-lakh range. It would cost around Rs. 45,000 more than the existing versions and is being launched with an eye on the rising fuel prices.
 

The new Logan Edge will also be exported in right hand drive markets, including the neighboring countries and South Africa, by this year. For the purpose, the company will make use of the dealership networks of Mahindra & Mahindra and Renault, in the overseas market. Mahindra Renault also has plans of expanding their dealer network. They already have 94 dealers across 72 cities and hope to increase the number of dealers by 54, across the country, in as many cities, that too within a year.
