Mahindra Renault unveiled new Logan variants at Auto Expo 2008. The LPG Logan was launched after its showcase in the Expo. The cost of LPG Logan is Rs 35000-40000 higher than the existing models of the car. The LPG variant has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 450000 (approx). Named as Mahindra Renault Logan Emerald, the automobile is the company's first LPG powered vehicle. The mid-size sedan has been designed on the customers' feedback and promises to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions in the already polluted environment.
Engine
Under the hood of Mahindra Renault Logan LPG lies a powerful engine, which churns out a power of 65bhp@4000rpm, with a maximum torque of 160Nm@2000rpm. The engine is coupled with 5-speed manual transmission. It features a multi-point sequential system, which is first time in India. The LPG kit of the automobile has been developed in technical collaboration with Renault engineering and Landi Renzo, to ensure smooth performance and less emission. The engine of Mahindra Renault Logan LPG has been developed in accordance with the stringent Euro 4 norms.
Design And Interior
With smooth bodylines, trendy tail lamps and stylish headlights, Mahindra Renault Logan LPG impresses everyone, while on road. The car flaunts body colored bumpers with fog lamps. The interiors of Mahindra Renault Logan LPG are spacious enough to accommodate four passengers. The trendy instrument panel of the sedan is equipped with stereo music system. The instrument cluster and central console get a dash of sleek wood. The high-sitting car seats of the car ensure easy ingress and egress. Four people can ensure a very comfortable ride in the mid-size sedan, which has a spacious boot space as well.
Safety
Mahindra Renault Logan LPG is equipped with dual front airbags, which protects the driver and co-driver in the event of an accident. The fog lamps integrated in the front bumper helps the driver to drive smoothly in case of dim light as well as ensure a pleasant night driving experience. The car comes with remote controlled central locking system.
