The long wait for Krazzy 4 is finally over. All you die-hard Hrithik and Shah Rukh fans can now go to the nearest theater and feast their eyes, as the two superstars belt out red hot dance numbers. Krazzy 4 is a comedy movie, but don’t expect a typical slapstick comedy. You may not get to see witty one-liners or gibberish dialogues. But what you do get is a situational comedy with good performances. The movie is around 2 hours long and even though the music doesn’t really appeal, the two item numbers entertain you to the hilt.
The item numbers are exceptional. Shah Rukh looks classy and Hrithik, mind-blowing! The camera is focused and pretty good and so is the cinematography. Jaideep Sen, the director of the movie executes some really good sequences in bits and pieces. While the first half of the movie is very entertaining and engaging, the second half drags and the movie starts to lose its impact. However, it is an above average movie and coupled with the item numbers, it will have a good opening and may even cross the ‘hit’ mark.

A bunch of 4 crazy people who are being treated by their psychiatrist Juhi Chawla are realistic enough. Arshad Warsi, Rajpal Yadav, Suresh Menon and Irrfan Khan dole out impressive performances. Juhi Chawla is believable and refreshing while Dia Mirza has a limited and a sweet role. The comic timing of Rajpal Yadav is exceptionally good and Arshad Warsi also manages to make people take notice. Suresh Menon emotes really well and is a pleasant surprise.

The music of Krazzy 4 has been composed by the award-winning music director, and brother of Rakesh Roshan, Rajesh Roshan. The lyrics have been penned down by the extremely talented Javed Akhtar. One of the USPs of the film comprises of the item numbers by none other than the ‘King Khan’ and ‘Hrithik Roshan’. Krazzy 4 is said to be a remake of ‘Mukilla Rajyathu’ a Malayalam box office hit of the late 80's.
Krazzy 4, as the name suggests, revolves around four people, each of whom is suffering from a mental disorder. Add to this, a psychiatrist, a vicious industrialist, a television reporter and a man involved in illicit activities and you get an idea of what the movie is all about. The ‘Krazzy 4’ team includes Raja (Arshad Warsi), Gangadhar (Rajpal Yadav), Dr. Mukherjee (Irrfan Khan) and Dabboo (Suresh Menon). Treating their disorders is Dr. Sonali (Juhi Chawla), whose husband R K Sanyal (Rajat Kapoor) is an industrialist.
Raja is a young man, suffering from ‘Intermittent Explosive Disorder’. The result is that he gets extremely angry, to the point of beating the hell out of someone, at the slightest of provocation. He has a girlfriend, Shikha (Dia Mirza), who is a TV reporter and controls the news on her channel. She is totally clueless as to how to manage the uncontrollable rage of Raja, the man she is in love with. Ganagadhar is a ‘Schizophrenic’, who is living in his own imaginary world. In his world, he is still fighting for independence and shares friendship with Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Lokamanya Tilak and Sardar Vallabhai Patel.
Dr. Mukherjee is the one who thinks that he is the leader of the ‘Krazzy 4’ team. He is a doctor who is perfect in anything, so perfect that he has been diagnosed with ‘Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder’. The cutest of the lot is Dabbu, who seems to be terrified at all times and appears to be ‘Autistic’. He hasn’t spoken for years and nobody knows the reason for it. He is the one who is loved and protected by one and all. Treating all of them is Dr. Sonali, a psychiatrist who believes that you need to treat people with your heart, to make them well.
She has an industrialist husband, R K Sanyal, who is concerned about nothing but, money and power. In his quest to get both the things, he takes a decision that is bound to have dire consequences for not only his wife, but also her four patients i.e. the ‘Krazzy 4’. In the middle of all this is Srivastav, who has become involved neck-deep in illegal activities. In order to survive and keep ahead, he can do anything and everything, including murder. How the ‘Krazzy 4’ survive in this world, combating their disorders, is what the film is all about.
