Kerala Tree Houses

Imagine waking up one beautiful morning in a wooden house, amidst lush green trees, and listening to the chirping of birds, while soft sunlight shines into your room. How often do you get to look at the sun right in the face and feel the freshness of morning as it is! And it is a welcome change from living in concrete jungles.

Features
The tree houses are made of sturdy wood by local craftsmen and are perched on strong trees. Some tree houses may go as up high as 100 feet! They are made of eco-friendly stuff like bamboo, coir, hay, straws, etc. Though they look primitive from the outside, you will be surprised to see that on the inside, they are equipped with modern facilities. The attractive features include carpeted rooms, verandah, double bed, attached bathroom, telephone, electricity, wash basin, etc. The energy is obtained from gobar gas (energy processed from cow dung) and solar energy, thus avoiding air and noise pollution.

What to Expect
You will be treated no less than Gods by those who manage these tree houses. Authentically prepared Kerala cuisine will be served to you, which will only leave you asking for more. You will also get a hint of the traditional lifestyle of Kerala as food here is served on big banana leaves instead of plates. Every whim and fancy of yours will be taken care of. Getting down and going up is managed by a unique crane system. There would be nothing that you would have to worry about during your tree house stay in Kerala. Just sit back and relax!
