Tired of those never ending Saas-Bahu sagas reigning primetime over all the channels? Here is a breath of fresh air. If reports are to be believed, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, the Indian version of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ is all set to make a comeback in its fourth season. KBC 4, as it will be called, may see Shah Rukh Khan as the anchor again.
However, grapevine has it that other names are being suggested for anchoring the popular game show. These names include the previous anchor, Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, along with of course Shah Rukh. But it is also learnt that Shah Rukh’s contract with Star Plus continues in 2008. So, the rumors that have been stating the crossover of Shah Rukh to NDTV have been laid to rest for now.
Kaun Banega Crorepati started in the year 2000, with the superstar Amitabh Bachchan as its anchor. Like the original UK version, 10 contestants are supposed to play ‘Fastest Finger First’ and the person who answers the question in the least time gets to play the game. The prize money was increased from 1 crore to 2 crores in the second and third season. Let’s hope the fourth season is as captivating as the earlier ones!
