Madhushree & Sachin Tyagi won Jhoom India, a musical reality show on Sahara One. The final was held on January 18, 2008. The show had 10 jodis, in which a screen celebrity was paired with a professional singer. The jodis matched their vocal ability against each other. Each week the jodis performed a song based on specific themes such as: Disco numbers, Swinging Sixties, R.D. Burman special, etc. After 12 weeks of intense competition top two extremely talented jodis: Madhushree & Sachin Tyagi, and Akriti Kakar & Varun Badola qualified for the finals.

 

Madhushree’s forte lies in classical composition and she has worked with some of the big names of Indian music industry such as A.R.Rahman, Udit Narain, Hariharan, Sukhvinder Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Alka Yagnik, Chitra, Sadhna Sargam, to name a few. Sachin Tyagi is a popular TV actor and has worked in serials like Saarthi, Saara Akaash, Tumhari Dishaa, Solaah Singgar and Kajaal.

 

Akriti made her debut in playback singing with the film “Dus” and thereafter she has not looked back. She has sung for several films, the most recent being “Johnny Gaddar”. Akriti is also coming up with an album featuring the legendary Ustad Sultan Khan Sahab. Varun Badola is a famous TV actor and has worked in serials like Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand and Astitva-Ek Prem Kahani. His wife Rajeshwari is also a well-known singer.
