How to Put on Fake Eyelashes

Women like to look perfect and there is no denying the element of truth in that. As far as facial features go, from their lips, to their noses and to their eyes, everything has to look as good as it can possibly look. Maybe this is exactly why it is almost as good as impossible to find a woman in this cosmetic obsessed world who doesn’t really care about the way she looks. It is this obsession with looks that gave birth to what people now call ‘fake eyelashes’. Fake eyelashes were basically the result of women complaining about how bad, or how small, or how not-so-pretty their eyelashes looked. Nonetheless, fake eyelashes can still make a woman’s eyes look that much prettier. Go ahead and read your way through this piece of writing to uncover step-by-step instructions on how to apply fake eyelashes. Remember, applying fake eyelashes is really something you can do all by yourself instead of getting a random stylist at a beauty parlor to do it for you!

How To Apply Fake Eyelashes

You Will Need
  • Fake Eyelashes
  • Tweezers
  • Eyelash Glue
  • Good Lighting
  • A Mirror
Instructions
  • The first thing to do when applying fake eyelashes all by yourself is to place the eyelash on your eyelid and see if it’s a perfect fit. If the eyelash is not a perfect fit, that is, if it is smaller, you will have to find one that is just as big as your eyelid. However, if the fake eyelashes are bigger than your eyelids, you don’t really need to find replacements. You can correct the error by yourself.
  • To correct the error of a larger eyelash you can trim one side of it by working on each lash separately until the whole fake eyelash is just as big as your eyelid. If the fake eyelash is just as big as your eyelid, but each individual eyelash is a tad too big, to make the eyelashes look more natural, you can trim them lash by lash.
  • The lashes on the fake eyelash should be longer towards the outer corners of your eye and shorter around the center of your eye. This is something that you will have to ensure. You will also have to ensure that the eyelashes are varying slightly in length as opposed to being of the same length.
  • Now that you are done with the trickiest part of the process of applying fake eyelashes, you can feel free to go ahead and squeeze some eyelash glue onto the back of your hand and apply the same onto the fake eyelash. From the edge of the fake eyelash, very gently begin to blow air with your mouth to ensure the glue dries quickly and appears less runny.
  • Once you are sure that the glue on the fake eyelash has dried, pick it up with a pair of tweezers and bring it as close as possible to the natural line of your eyelash. Care should be taken to just bring your fake eyelash as close as possible to your natural lash line without actually making any contact!
  • When you are sure that the positions are correct, from one end to the other, press on the fake eyelash to your natural lash line. Give it around thirty seconds or even a minute or simply wait until the glue on the eyelash dries and the lash is completely stuck on your lash line.
  • If you notice that there are gaps or empty spaces between the false lashes and your natural lash line, you can go ahead and fill them up by using eyeliner.
