Lightweight Fleece Fabric
Flat Work Surface
Fabric Cutting Boards
Fabric-marking Pens
Yardstick/ Ruler
Dressmaker Shears
Rotary Cutter
Needle
Thread
Basic Instructions
First of all, decide on how long you want to scarf to be and then, measure its dimensions.
While buying the fleece fabric for your scarf, remember that the stretch in the fabric should run the length of your scarf.
If you also want fringes in your scarf, the length of the fabric should be around 6 inches more than the exact length.
Further Instructions (Without Fringe)
Spread the fabric on a flat work surface, making sure to keep the wrong side up.
With the help of a fabric cutting board, a fabric marking pen and a yardstick or ruler, mark a rectangle that has the desired scarf dimensions.
Cut out the rectangle along the marked lines, making use of dressmaker shears.
Finally, hem the sides of the scarf.
Further Instructions (With Fringe)
Spread the fabric on a flat work surface, making sure to keep the wrong side up.
With the help of a fabric cutting board, a fabric marking pen and a yardstick or ruler, mark a rectangle that has the desired scarf dimensions.
Again mark the fabric, at a distance of about 3 inches, on the either sides, where you want to fleece to be.
Cut out the rectangle along the marked lines, making use of dressmaker shears.
Draw a series of horizontal lines, ¼ inch apart, between the outer and inner markings on the scarf.
Cut along each of the horizontal lines, made in the previous step, using dressmaker shears or a rotary cutter.
