Face fat is like baby fat. It stays for a long time for some people. Here’s an article on how to get rid of chubby cheeks and cheek fat removal.

How To Get Rid Of Chubby Cheeks

When your body is toned, why should your face look fat? Kids and babies with fat cheeks look adorable, but when it comes to adults, it is not so appealing to the eye. There are several reasons why chubby cheeks happen in the first place. It could be due to ageing, genetic inheritance or simply the fat in your body accumulating on your face. Other temporary reasons could be water retention or a stressful lifestyle. There are only two possible ways of reducing chubby cheeks – one to get a surgery and two to reduce it by modifying your diet and facial exercises. If you are not too desperate and pressed for time, then a good suggestion would be to try option two. If not, surgery can also be resorted to, but the changes may or may not be permanent. After making up your mind about the choices, read on ahead to find out which one you would like to know more about!

Cheek Fat Removal

Surgery
There are several disadvantages to this method against the only advantage of it definitely removing the cheek fat. Cheek surgeries, often called face liposuction, involve side effects after the treatment and it could involve certain complications. Also, it requires quite a few bagfuls of money with obviously no guarantee of it being permanent.

Facial Exercises
  • Puffing of the cheeks is a good exercise. What you need to do is really simple. Puff up the right cheek and hold it for around 10sec. Deflate it and relax. Repeat about 10 times. Do the same thing with the other side too.
  • Fish mouth exercises are also quite common. Pull both your cheeks in like a fish (it looks ridiculous, but really helps!). Hold it for about 10sec. Relax and repeat again.
  • Shut your eyes tightly and you find that your cheeks are automatically lifted. Do this about 10 to 20 times a day to help you exercise the facial muscles.
  • It might surprise you a little, but cardio is one of the best ways to lose some of that face fat to give it a firmer and toned look. Intense cardiovascular workouts make your body go into a fat burning phase. But, when the entire body is not getting enough exercise, the food you eat (otherwise used as an energy currency) stores this as fat.
  • Power Yoga is also a very common way that people resort to lose the fat in the long term. Though it takes a while for you to start losing weight, it definitely helps in exercising your facial muscles. Pilates/Yoga combined with breathing are extremely beneficial.
  • One form of increasing blood circulation is also facial massage. This helps in preventing the muscles from becoming lax. Rubbing in circular and upward movements (downward causes sagging!) is the key.
Diet
  • Apart from the exercise, diet is also an important part of maintaining your body and face and giving it a slim, chiseled and slender look.
  • Dehydration (starving your body of water) can lead the body to believe that it has to store any little water it is getting (from foods) as buffer. This is not a healthy option, as the first place where it shows is the cheeks. So bottom line is, drink 8 glasses of water per day!
  • Vitamins and minerals are sacred. They can be obtained from vegetables and fruits. When your body does not have these, it can result in a metabolic disaster and doesn’t function normally.
  • Chewing gum can have its good effects too! It helps exercise your cheek muscles to a large extent.
So, when considering the options of surgery versus exercising, make sure you take into account the effort that goes into toning your face in both the cases. While surgery is expensive and invasive, exercise is convenient and healthy. Weigh your options skillfully!
