Since, carrot is mildly abrasive it is very good in removing the plaques. While chewing the secretion of saliva will also be increased, and this will wash away all the food particles from the mouth.
  • Parsley is an excellent breath freshener both in people and in pets. You can make a very effective pet breath freshener spray by boiling several sprigs of parsley in water. Strain, and let it cool. You can spray it into your pet’s mouth or make it drink the liquid.
  • Regularly brush your dogs teeth with toothpaste especially made to control bad odor from the pet’s mouth. Brushing the teeth will kill the bacteria from the mouth, and also remove the plaque, which causes bad breath.
  • Take good care of your pet’s diet. Sometimes, if you switch the diet then it can lead to bad odor. In such a case you should stick to one diet or switch to that diet, which does not cause bad breath.
