Ingredients
- 1 (3 pound) whole chicken
- 1 large Onion, halved - unpeeled
- 3 Carrots, cut into chunks - unpeeled
- 2 stalks Celery, cut into chunks
- 1 tbsp Whole Peppercorns
- Water, to cover
Instructions
- First of all, you need to get a pot, large enough to accommodate the chicken.
- After washing the pot properly, place the chicken in it.
- Now, add onion, carrots, celery and peppercorns.
- Finally, add water to the pot, enough to cover the chicken.
- Cover the pot with a lid and keep on high flame.
- After the water starts boiling, reduce the flame to allow a gentle boil.
- Let the chicken cook on low flame for 90 minutes.
- Now, check the chicken. If the meat is falling off the bone, the chicken is done. If not, boil for some more time.
- Take the pot off the flame and remove chicken from it.
