The world renowned automobile maker, Honda has launched the environment-friendly FCX Clarity fuel cell car at the Los Angeles Auto show. The stylish sedan is a powerful car, which has a hydrogen powered fuel cell. Honda has planned to lease out the low-slung sedan to a definite number of people of Southern California around next summer. It is said that the car will be offered on a three-year lease for $600 per month. This will make it the first fuel-cell car that is offered to general public.
The FCX Clarity, which was unveiled at the auto show is definitely an attention grabber. With stylish and sleek looks, the car is sure to get popular with all those who are looking for a modern car equipped with gasoline-free technology. The fuel economy of Clarity is around 68 miles/gallon and has a driving range of around 270 miles. The car will be available to those who live in Southern California as they will have access to a limited number of hydrogen fuel stations. Although fuel cell technology is expensive, the idea that a car could run on hydrogen, with water as the emission has finally been turned into reality. The concept was conceived many years ago and seemed like it will take a long time before it could have been made a possibility. But with advancement in technology and new theories, the fuel-cell cars are now a part of reality and in large numbers! Though the research and development is very expensive and time consuming, but it has finally been put in reality.
