The well-known automobile group, Hero Motors Group is all set to enter home décor retailing. The company shall venture into retailing high-end lifestyle products as well as home decoration products very soon. It has planned to enter into collaboration with Stalwart Homestyles, the well-known exporters of home décor items to international brand names like Bloomingdales. The Hero Motor Group Company shall enter retailing under the brand name of Oma.
The initial investment in this venture shall be around Rs. 40 crore. The group has already inaugurated two stores in New Delhi this month. It is planned that by 2008, at least twelve more stores shall be opened up. The group entered into home décor retailing in order to provide Indian homemakers the various elements of fine living. All products will now be available here and thus one wouldn’t have to go abroad to buy the home styling products.
