Taking a cue from Maruti True Value, Hero Honda has forayed into the used two-wheeler trading business under the “Hero Honda SURE!” brand. The new venture of Hero Honda has been undertaken in association with Phoenix Motors. One of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in the world, Hero Honda has flagged off SURE on an experimental basis, through its 40 dealerships across India. Since the project is still in an experimental stage, its scale is not too large.
Exploiting Potential!
The company is still deciding on the various models to be bought and sold through the SURE outlets. The aim behind the launch of this segment is to exploit the potential presented by the second-hand bikes market. The company is looking forward to generate sales for its new vehicle, from the stock of its two wheelers on Indian roads - estimated to be valued around 7 crores. With this, Hero Honda has become the first company in India to launch such service in the used two-wheeler segment.
Working Mechanism
Hero Honda has entered used bikes market with full preparation. It has developed a 110-check point quality parameter, on which it will assess the condition of the used two wheelers that will be brought for sale at its outlets. This is to ensure that SURE outlets become a reliable place for customers, where they will be able to buy, sell and exchange used Hero Honda bikes. After a bike is sold at the SURE dealerships, Hero Honda engineers re-condition them with genuine Hero Honda spare parts and then, sell them to other customers.

Hero Honda is offering warranty on different vehicles sold under SURE and also provide free service benefits. In case you want finance options, no need to look elsewhere. These outlets provide convenient and easy finance options for both new and used bikes purchased at SURE. As per unconfirmed reports, the SURE scheme of Hero Honda has benefited it greatly and the company is generating huge business out of it.
