The coveted Golden Globe Awards, which are considered next to the top Academy Awards, were announced in Los Angeles, California, last night in a simple press conference. There was no gala event and it was wound up quickly. Golden Globe is given out by Hollywood Foreign Press Association each year over a grandly organized dinner. Check out which animated movie won the prestigious award this year.
Ratatouille
An expected winner, Ratatouille won the Golden Globe Award in the category of Best Animated Film. The film had a fine work of graphics and has own many other prestigious awards, besides the Golden Globe. The film basically revolves around a rat named Remy, who has a penchant for good food. He resides in a drain under a famous restaurant in France and simply adores his culinary hero, who is a famous chef, Auguste Gusteau. The movie takes an interesting turn after the death of this chef when a young boy employed at the restaurant is given the responsibility of preparing the dish Ratatouille. He fumbles, but Remy finds out and adds his own ingredients preparing one of the most sumptuous dishes ever. What follows is a hilarious series of events in which the young partners Remy and together have to keep up the quality of the dish without letting anyone know of their partnership. It makes for a great watch during the weekend with family. If you missed it in the theater, get its DVD. It is worth it!
