Fujitsu Ultra-portable Laptops

Fujitsu, one of the major IT and communications solutions providers of the world, is all set to make it entry into the Indian market. At the outset only, the company has launched its range of premium ultra-portable laptops and is all set to woo the Indian customers. The announcement came on Tuesday, 29th January 2008, and was very much welcomed by the technology-conscious consumers of the today’s Indian market.

Fujitsu has launched six models in its premium ultra-portable laptops range and they will be priced somewhere around Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,00,000. As per the statement given by Ivan Kam, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific Associate Director Business Development, the company is aspiring to create a position for itself amongst the top 10 PC players in the Indian market, that too in the next 1-2 years only.

Fujitsu is planning to achieve this feat by selling 27,000-30,000 units in the said period. To make sure that they do not face any hurdle while selling their laptops, the company has already appointed two distributors across India. It is in the process of signing up with more dealers in the near future. Ivan Kam also hinted that the company has plans of introducing its range of desktops in India, within the next three months only.
