The wait is finally over. Fiat released its new sports model in the Geneva Motor Show of 2008. Fiat 500 Abarth is as good as the previews promised it to be. Developed by Fiat's Centro Stile, the sports car has been inspired by the '60s-era 500 Abarth. The car is more than just mere looks; it has been packed with loads of features too. Fiat 500 Abarth comes equipped with a turbocharged 135 cv, 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine.
The engine promises to given the consumers 135 horsepower and maximum torque of 152 pound-
feet/206 Nm. The torque transfer control system of the car improves traction, especially in cornering. With this, the sports car has come in the same league as the Grande Punto Abarth, which comes packed with a 155-hp version of the same engine. Fiat 500 Abarth offers you a sporty driving, combined with the best technology, safety and engineering.

The automobile also has Abarth badges all over it. Fiat 500 Abarth is expected to go on sale, through the exclusive Abarth network, by July 2008. During the Geneva Auto Show, the company officials also hinted on the plans to launch Abarth 500 SS model, packed with 180 cv.
