Eye Makeup That Can Be Done At Home

Smoky Look
To give your eyes a smoky look all you will need to do is to take an eye shadow that is matte cream coloured and apply it on the entire eyelid. Once this is done, blend a violet eye shadow into the crease of your eyelid. Make sure you start applying it along the lash line and then blend it. Now apply a light pink eye shadow just where the violet eye shadow ends. Blend it in the direction of your eyebrows using your fingers and an upward stroke. The last thing you need to do is to draw a thin line along the inside of your eyelid and a thicker one along the lash line on the outside. Use violet eyeliner to draw these lines and then use a brush to blend it with the rest of the eye shadow.

Glittery Look
If you are looking for eyes that glitter, you can use soft sophisticated colours like silver and sparkling white. Creating this look is also very easy. All you will need is an eye shadow of the right colour and matte eye shadow. What you need to do is to apply the matte eye shadow to the entire eyelid. Doing this helps the eyelid retain the colour you will use when you do the rest of the makeup. What you need to do next is to apply the white or silver eye shadow, also on the entire eyelid. The next thing you will need is blue eyeliner; preferably a dark shade. Apply the eyeliner on the inside of your eyelid and along the lash line. Make sure the eyeliner is applied evenly and finish off with filling in your eyebrows with a brown pencil. If you wish to give your eyes a little extra definition then you can also use mascara to emphasise your eye lashes.

Natural Look
If you wish to keep your eyes looking natural inspite of using makeup that is meant to enhance them, all you will need to do is to use neutral colours that can replicate and emphasise the natural beauty of your eyes. To make this happen, select eye shadows which are similar or closer to your skin tone. Don’t use one that is the same as your skin tone; else you will not make any difference to your eyes. To lay more emphasis on your eyes you could use an eye shadow that is no more than two shades darker than your skin tone. Once you have applied the eye shadow, use mascara that is either clear or almost the same colour of your eyes. This makeup is quick to apply and can be used on a daily basis.

These are just three different techniques that you can use to enhance your eye makeup, but you need not get hung up on just these. Don’t be afraid of experimenting and choosing colours that suit you more than those mentioned in this article.
