The movie about a common man, who wants to achieve some of his simple dreams, 'Dasvidaniya' has finally hit the theaters. The film is neither too good, not too bad. Its certain sections definitely strike a chord with the audience, but there were also many loopholes in the film. The protagonist learns that he only has three months left in his life and sets out to achieve all those dreams that he had always put on hold, for one reason or the other. Though his simple dreams seem plausible, there was a serious lack of imagination on the part of the script. I mean, almost of us have at least one ambitious dream in our life, don’t we?
The appearance of Vinay's bewigged alter ego did not seem to help the cause of the movie either. The pace of 'Dasvidaniya' seemed to be slow, even though it wrapped up within 2 hours. Certain clichés have also been adhered to, further murdering the plot. As for the performances, Vinay Pathak is definitely laudable and worth watching, throughout the movie. None of the other performances were too good to be mentioned. In fact, some of them were pretty wayward also. In short, we can say that 'Dasvidaniya' had a very good storyline. We wish it had more imagination and would have been turned into a impressive script.

Its story revolves around the life of a man, Amar Kaul (Vinay Pathak). He is an ordinary man, who lives a life like millions of people living in the 'City of Dreams' - Mumbai.
Amar is one of the unknown faces on the city streets and is leading a forgettable existence. All that motivates him is the 'TO-DO LIST' that he makes every morning. One day, he comes to know that he is going to die very soon and the doctor gives him the life of at most 3 more months. After coming to know of his impending death, Amar Kaul makes a 'List of THINGS TO DO BEFORE HE DIES'. In this, he lists all those things that he always wanted to do, but somehow was never able to do.
Amar realizes that till now he was only breathing and had forgotten to live and enjoy. With this, starts the roller coaster comic ride for Amar, who wants to live fully in the last three months of his life. Amar symbolizes the common man, who has lots of wishes, but puts them on hold from time to time, because of some or the other constraints, and finally leaves the world with his wishes still in his heart. Will Amar be able to attain all his wishes, before death snuffs out the moments left in his life?
