Dabur India Ltd. has unveiled their brand name that specializes in beauty, fitness and general well-being of people. With the launch of their H&B (Health & Beauty) Stores, Dabur has officially forayed into retail business. The H&B stores have been launched under the brand name “new-u” and have been set-up with an initial investment of Rs. 140 crore. These stores are aimed at providing the Indian consumer with world class shopping experience.
By 2010, Dabur is estimated to have around 160 stores that would sell products ranging from many different Indian as well as reputed international brands. There will also be many private labels present in the Dabur H& B stores that would play crucial role in its overall merchandise offering. The stores will cover area between 1,200 sq ft to 6,000 ft. The brand name ‘new-u’ coined by the company is meant to underscore the freshness in its approach and ambience the stores promises its customers, apart from proffering an impressive range of health and beauty solutions under a single canopy.
The new Dabur H&B stores will have on display near about 20,000 products in various categories such as color cosmetics, perfumes, skin and personal care as well as baby and family care items, fashion accessories, usual merchandise, Ayurvedic and herbal products and pharmaceuticals. Furthermore, the 'new-u' stores will also serve as effective launch pads for both international cosmetics and personal care brands helping them reach out to the public in the market of India.
