Click Hindi MovieLet's get the facts right first - ‘Click’ is a remake of the Thai movie ‘Shutter’, which was made with the same title in US as well and then as ‘Photo’ in Telugu and ‘Sivi’ in Tamil. A part of it even reminds you of ‘Raaz’. Now, if you have not seen any of them till now, then you might give ‘Click’ a try. Though not as impressive as the original, the movie surely has a few scenes that will make the hair on your arms stand up. The horror is there alright, though not as much as we would have liked to see. Still, you do get jolted out of your seat in a few of the scenes (and that is more than an average Bollywood horror flick, right?)

Though ‘Click’ seems to fare well when you look at the movie in totality, it has its own share of flaws (quite a many of them in fact). For instance, at times, the pace of the movie is too slow, which doesn’t suit the horror genre at all. At the same time, the songs were unnecessarily included therein. In fact, Shamir Tandon’s music was bad, while Ramji’s cinematography is better if not talked about. On the other hand, the background score by Sandeep Chowta is good and even the special effects seem decent, even though it would have been good if they were a bit shorter and non-repetitive.

One of the areas where ‘Click’ fails to rise above the regular Bollywood horror flicks is the ‘ghost’ part. I mean like, was it really necessarily to give it a hideous, chalk-like appearance? At the same time, a few more terrifying scenes would have really upped the ‘horror’ quotient. The best part of the movie is its climax, which is so different from the usual horror movies that you get taken aback for a few seconds. The other plus points of the ‘Click’ include excellent sound design and great acting by Shreyas Talpade. Even Sada and Sneha Ullal seem decent enough. Watch it in the theater if you have nothing better to do this weekend!

Click Pre-Release Review
Click is a horror flick directed by Sangeeth Sivan, starring Shreyas Talpade, Sada, Rehan Khan and Sneha Ullal. This youth based horror movie is centered on the life of a young photographer Avi (Shreyas Talpade) and his girlfriend, Sonia (Sada), who is a fashion model by profession. Avi is a laid back and hassle free guy, who takes life as it comes, without worrying too much about the past or the future. His only passion in life is photography and he had aspired to be a fashion photographer, since his early days.

Avi meets Sonia through his various assignments as a fashion photographer. Their parallel profession, mutual interests and a similar stance on life bring them closer to each other and the friendship soon blossoms into love. However, Avi’s cool and smooth life is all set to meet a bizarre quirk of fate. The twist in the tale is introduced by the beautiful snaps clicked by him. All his pictures, when printed, hide an intriguing secret, which is so terrifying and horrific that he cannot even divulge it to Sonia.

The dark secret reflected through Avi’s photographs has strong roots, lying in his past. Avi is threatened that any revelation may potentially ruin his life, his relationship and the life of his family, friends and loved ones. What is Avi trying to hide and why? How can a secret possibly the change the life of everyone around him? As the question comes to haunt the viewers, the spine chilling climax of the movie is something to watch out for. “Click” promises to keep the viewers on the edges of their seats, biting their nails. So, hit the theatres on February 19 to know Avi’s ominous and scary secret.
