Easy Camping Recipes

Recipe For Camping Breakfasts

Ingredients And Requirements 

  • Frozen Potatoes
  • 1 dozen Eggs
  • ¼ cup Onions (chopped)
  • 1 Lb Bacon (fry and crumble them at home beforehand)
  • ¼ cup Milk (Ice cooler)
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Mushroom/ Peppers (optional)
  • Paper cups
  • Frying pan
  • Carry around stove
Method
  • Use a large iron skillet and melt the bacon grease.
  • Add the onions to the pans and follow it up by adding the frozen potatoes and cook until brown.
  • Toss in the crumbled bacon to this mixture.
  • As the potatoes gets cooked, Whisk the eggs and the milk from the ice cooler.
  • Wait till the egg mixture gets slightly foamy and then pour it over the potatoes.
  • Turn the mixture every few minutes until eggs are done.
  • If you wish to break the predictable monotony of scrambled eggs, add mushrooms or black peppers.

Camp Kabobs

Ingredients And Requirements
  • 2 lb boneless skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 2 lb Beef Stew cut meat
  • 2 bell Peppers
  • 2 large Onions
  • Lemon
  • Kabob sticks
  • Barbecue grill set
Method
  • Chop the chicken and beef up into nice and fine pieces.
  • Slice up onion and bell peppers.
  • Place on kabob sticks.
  • Squeeze lemon over kabobs and start grilling!
  • This shall take about an hour to cook and 25 minutes to prepare.

Camp Fish (A Main Course Recipe)

Ingredients And Requirements
  • Fresh Fish
  • 1 Lemon
  • Olive oil
  • Pepper and Salt
  • 1 small Onion
  • Cooking Spray (preferably, Pam)
  • Aluminium foil
Method
  • Clean the fish and spray the aluminium foil with the cooking spray.
  • Gently place the fish on foil.
  • Slice the onions into fine pieces and lay a few of them on each fish.
  • Sprinkle lemon to taste and some salt or pepper.
  • Fold the foil and place on the campfire.
  • Watch out every two minutes to ensure that it doesn’t overcook.  
  • The fish will appear flaky when done.
  • Drop half a spoon of olive oil if you please and devour! 

Bean Soup

Ingredients 

  • 1 can Vegetable broth
  • 2 cans Chicken broth
  • 2-3 cans of Water
  • 1 can Tomato sauce
  • 1 can Tomatoes and Chillies
  • 1 tsp dried sweet Basil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp Celery seeds
  • ½ tsp red Pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp Rosemary
  • ½ tsp Sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 medium Carrots
  • 3 stalks Celery
  • 1 bell Pepper
  • 1 large Onion
  • 1 can Butter Beans
  • 1 can Cannellini Beans
  • 1 can dark Kidney Beans
Method
  • Pour the vegetable and chicken broth along with water into a big pot.  
  • Bring this to a simmer as you add the spices.
  • While you give the spices a chance to simmer, toss in the sliced and diced veggies.
  • Open the beans and put them in a strainer in the sink to drain.
  • Wait for the bubbles to stop.
  • Add the beans to the pot and throw in a handful of large egg noodles. Cover and simmer for one hour.
  • Add Italian sausages if you wish.

Banana Cream Pie

Ingredients And Requirements
  • One sliced Banana
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Five smashed Crackers
  • ½ cup Milk (ice cooler)
  • Dutch oven
Method
  • Smash the crackers in a bowl.
  • Add the milk, sliced banana and the marshmallows to the bowl and mix it properly.
  • Carefully place it in the camping Dutch oven that you should have carried along.
  • Cook the final baked banana over a campfire after spraying it with cooking spray.
  • Stir at least for 20 minutes till it’s ready and delicious!
