The much hyped reality show ‘Big Boss’ has once again hit the small screen, this time on 17th August 2008. It is called ‘Big Boss 2’ as it is the second season of the show. The first series of the show was aired between November 2006 and January 2007, on Sony Entertainment Television and was hosted by Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi. On the contrary, Big Boss 2 will be telecast on recently launched channel, Colors. The host of the show is the leggy Bollywood beauty, Shilpa Shetty. The actress created sensation by winning the last season of Big Brother UK.
All those who wish to be entertained by the dramatic, yet real life, encounters between the participants of the show can tune in on the channel Colors, on all the days of a week, at 10.00 pm. This adds another feather in its cap, as it is for the fist time in the history of Indian television that a show is going to be aired everyday, right from Monday to Sunday. Moreover, to further escalate the excitement, there will be half an hour ‘live’ and unedited slot everyday, starting second week at 12.30 a.m. Big Boss 2 will feature 14 exclusive contestants, locked in a house for 12 weeks.
The participant list comprises known names such as Ketki Dave (actress), Zulfi Syed (model/actor), Monika Bedi (actress), Raja Chaudhari (Shweta Tiwari’s husband), Rakhi Tandon (actress), Rahul Mahajan (son of Pramod Mahajan), Sambhavna Seth (item girl), Ehsaan Qureshi (stand up comedian), Aleena Wadia (21 year old girl), Payal Rohtagi (actress), Debojit Saha (Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2005 winner), Ashutosh Kaushik (MTV Roadies 5.0 winner), Sanjay Niupam (politician) and Jade Goody (British actress). The lucky winner gets to bag cash prize of Rs 75 lakh. So, all you people out there get set for the roller coaster ride!
