All you Armani worshippers will soon have the “Temple” right here in India. Giorgio Armani, according to reports, has entered into a joint venture with India’s biggest real estate developer, DLF. Negotiations have closed the deal at a partnership of 51:49, with DLF agreeing to give out a stake of 51% to the Italian company. The added advantage of this joint venture is that it will act as a wholesaling firm that will supply Armani products to independent retailers as well.
The Armani brands that will be distributed under the joint venture include Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, Armani Jeans, Armani Junior and Armani Collezioni. The branded products will be distributed all over India, though the first stores of the Italian giant will be opened in the Emporio Mall in Delhi. This is because Delhi is DLF’s stronghold at the moment and would benefit by opening its first store at a place where the urban society readily experiments with international fashion labels.
People can choose from the wide range of designer jeans, footwear, handbags, luggage, watches, phones, jewelry, perfumes, eyewear, sport gear, etc. at the Armani store. There are plans to open up more subsequent outlets at department stores and duty-free shops located in major airports. The accessories and apparel selection will be available for both men and women, who love to look chic and sophisticated and carry their attitudes proudly.
