ABC News Now, a U.S. based 24-hour news channel owned by the Walt Disney Company, has launched a brand new show called ‘South Asia Now’. It is America’s first dedicated network show which will cover the entire South Asian region. The show made its debut on ABC News Now on 22nd January at 3:30 pm Eastern Standard Time.
On ‘South Asia Now’ you can watch political, sports and cultural news related to the South Asian countries. It covers all the events and happenings of countries like Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
The programs aired on ‘South Asia Now’ comprise of news related particularly to the South Asian Region. The programs also include the interviews of some of the most famous celebrities, eminent personalities and scholars of South Asia. The maiden episode of ‘South Asia Now’ was hosted by ABC News Now anchor, Daljit Dhaliwal. It featured a conversation with the digital reporter of ABC News, Nick Schifrin based in Pakistan. The episode also aired an interview with famous Bollywood actors and real life couple, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai.
